“Before I met Alan I had been taking lessons with other instructors. They were not as patient or informative and I had already failed two tests and picked up bad habits. Alan was an excellent instructor who fitted my lessons around my long work schedule. He was great company and increased my confidence tenfold. I was a very very nervous driver before I met him, he knew how to put me at ease. I was given lesson plans and dvds to watch and improve my skills. I passed my test without many minor faults. I have been driving now for four years and have been very careful. I can still hear Alan’s voice in my head guiding me and reminding me to check my mirrors and watch my speed! I would definitely recommend him as an instructor. If I could turn back the clock I would have gone to Alan in the first place and would have passed first time. He has given me the confidence to drive and to enjoy it!  I never thought I would be able to drive, and thanks to him, I can!”

“I passed my test first time thanks to Alan, a conscientious  and experienced instructor.   If I could ever recommend an instructor it would most certainly be Alan!  As well as being completely at ease and safe in his company (which is an Important factor these days), there was complete attention and focus on me, the individual.  The lessons were well planned and organised as well as easy to follow.  Lessons were also reasonably priced compared to most other driving schools!

All in all, I had fun whilst learning to drive with Alan and I am thankful for the continuous support and confidence I gained”.

“During the time that I spent with Alan trying to succeed in passing my driving test the biggest word that comes into my head is "comfortable"!
Waiting at my house for the first lesson I don’t think I had ever experienced so many nerves!
  Is he going to be strict?
  What if he doesn’t talk to me and just tells me instructions to follow?
  What if I do something wrong?
ALL THESE NERVES FLEW OUT OF THE WINDOW AFTER FIVE MINUTES WITH ALAN!
Alan made me feel so comfortable and I actually enjoyed my lessons and looked forward to them. Alan always made me feel at ease and praised me when I had done well. If I had made a mistake it was NO BIG DEAL! Alan would assure me that from that mistake I would learn something and he would help and work with me to correct it.
Thanks to Alan, his confidence in me and having fantastic knowledge in driving and passing tests I now have a licence and can drive independently!!

“I'm proud to say I passed my test first time. Alan is a superb instructor whom I would recommend to anyone. I had been putting off learning to drive for a long time. I did not feel very confident in my ability to learn how to drive and would describe myself as a nervous learner. I researched for a while, trying to find a driving school and instructor that would suit me. I was very attracted to the LD system. Practical lessons would be supported by study at home materials. Alan's website stood out compared to other local LD instructors and gave a very professional first impression.

Learning with Alan was a very positive experience. Alan was friendly and very patient. Lessons were always tailored to my needs. Alan discussed my progress realistically, summarising key skills that needed developing at the end of every lesson. The study materials were useful throughout. Previewing lesson contents in the early stages, then being useful for revising for the theory and practical tests.

I am very grateful to Alan. His supportive attitude has 'given me my wheels', and has opened new opportunities to me, both in my work and  in my social life.”

“ I have just recently passed my driving test with no driving faults, I think that was due to the excellent lessons and preparation I had with my LDC instructor Alan Druce. When I started my lessons with LDC I received a DVD and Study book so I could do some extra work at home, they were very helpful and I don’t know any other driving school that does that. During the lessons Alan made me feel calm, relaxed and confident behind the wheel, I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to drive. I would say LDC's prices are very reasonable, you get so much for your money!”

“I want to say a big thank you to Alan.   I have just passed my test first time with Alan, I was a nervous learner and have put off driving for many years.  I wish I had found Alan a long time ago, as soon as I spoke to Alan on the phone I knew that we were going to get along fine, I hadn’t even had a lesson and he had already put my mind at ease and I was looking forward to my first lesson. I was nervous but Alan was so kind, patient, caring and funny and we did have some laughs he made me feel so relaxed and I always looked forward to my lessons.  He did not only teach me to drive and pass my test but he made sure I could drive safely. He is not only my instructor but also a good friend, I would highly recommend him to my friends. Also, I received a DVD and study book which was a great help, in between lessons you could go over things that you were going to be doing in your next lesson, so it helped you be prepared.  But Alan was always happy to go over things that you were not quite comfortable with and always made sure you were happy before moving on.   Thanks again Alan, you were fantastic.”
